DDiceDelve

Privacy

Intent,notsurveillance.

DiceDelve helps people say 'yes, let's play' — not 'here's where I live.' That guiding line shapes every data decision the product makes.

Principles

These are guarantees baked into the product, not paragraphs in a policy.

No real-time tracking.

We don't track where you are right now. The app does not collect, store, or show your live position.

No precise coordinates, per user.

You choose a general area (your city) during onboarding. We don't store or share GPS coordinates for your personal profile.

Meetups are not you.

Meetup intents you create sit on a map with a location you picked. That's separate from your personal profile and never implies you live there.

Coarse, optional, purpose-limited.

Location is used only to show relevant nearby meetups. It isn't used for ads, sold to brokers, or shared across apps.

No passive user pins on the map.

We never display user dots. Map markers represent meetup intents — active invites to play, not people's homes.

Minimum data, by default.

We only collect what's needed to run the service: account basics, your profile, and what you post. No ad networks, no data brokers, no selling data.

What we store, what we don't.

We store

  • Your email and authentication tokens (via Supabase Auth), or your Apple / Google sign-in identifier.
  • Your display name, @userId, avatar, about text, interests, and gallery images you upload.
  • Meetup intents you create (game, time, map pin, note).
  • Chats inside meetups and any direct messages you send.
  • Feed posts, comments, likes, and follows.
  • City-level area you chose during onboarding.
  • A push notification token, crash reports, and aggregated usage analytics.

We never store

  • Real-time GPS coordinates of your device.
  • Precise home or workplace addresses.
  • Passive location pins shown publicly on the map.
  • Your contacts, call logs, or SMS.
  • Cross-app advertising identifiers.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026.

1. Who we are

DiceDelve is operated by Zhan Zybin, an individual software developer based in the Czech Republic (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the personal data processed in the DiceDelve mobile application (the “App”). Contact for privacy matters: hello@dicedelve.com.

2. What data we collect

Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password (if you register with email), or your Apple / Google sign-in identifier.

Profile data(visible to other users) — display name, unique @userId, “About me” text, tabletop interests, avatar, up to 9 gallery photos, and the city or town you select as your general area. Only the city is stored — never your address or GPS position.

Content you create — meetup intents (game, time window, a meetup location you place on the map yourself, an optional note), chat messages in meetup groups and direct messages, feed posts (text and images), comments, likes, follows, and reports you submit.

Technical data — a push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reports and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics), aggregated usage analytics (Firebase Analytics), and IP addresses processed transiently by our hosting providers for security and operation.

3. What we deliberately do not collect

No real-time or background location tracking, and no precise coordinates stored per user. If you grant the OS location permission (for example, to center the map or the nearby-players search on where you are), your GPS position is used momentarily for that action only — it is never stored on our servers and never shown to other users. No contact list access, no advertising identifiers, and no data sale to anyone.

4. Why we process your data (legal bases under GDPR)

  • Providing the App — accounts, profiles, meetup intents, discovery, chat, feed, notifications: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • Safety and moderation — handling reports, blocking, bans, preventing abuse and ban evasion: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Crash reporting and service analytics — fixing bugs and improving the App: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Push notifications — your consent via the OS permission (Art. 6(1)(a)); withdraw it in system settings at any time.
  • Legal obligations — where we must comply with the law (Art. 6(1)(c)).

5. What other users can see

Your profile (display name, @userId, about, interests, photos, city) is visible to other signed-in users. Your active meetup intent appears on the map for nearby users, at the location you placed it. You may appear in the “players nearby” list for users in your area, based only on city-to-city distance — no precise distance is ever shown. Messages you send are visible to members of that chat; feed posts and comments are visible to other users.

6. Who processes data on our behalf

We share data only with service providers that run the App's infrastructure, under data processing agreements: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage; hosted on AWS in the United States), Google Firebase (push delivery, crash reports, usage analytics), Mapbox (map rendering — when you view the map, your device requests map tiles from Mapbox, which processes your IP address and the map area viewed), and Apple / Google (sign-in, if you choose those options). We never sell personal data and never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

7. International transfers

Our primary database is hosted in the United States (Supabase on AWS), and Google and Mapbox may also process data in the US. These transfers are safeguarded by the providers' participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long we keep data

Account, profile, and content data are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Menu → Account & Privacy → Delete account); this permanently removes your profile, photos, intents, messages, and posts. We may retain limited records after deletion where necessary for safety and legal reasons — for example, report and ban records used to prevent banned users from evading a ban. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on the backup rotation cycle.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. Most of these you can exercise directly in the App (edit profile, delete content, delete account). For anything else, email hello@dicedelve.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz), or the authority in your country of residence.

10. Additional information for United States residents

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Depending on your state of residence (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Virginia), you may have rights to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Exercise them the same way as in Section 9 — in the App or by email. Our primary data storage is located in the United States (see Section 7).

11. Age requirement

DiceDelve is for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly process data of anyone under 18; if we learn that a user is under 18, we will remove the account. If you believe a minor is using the App, please report the account in-app or email us.

12. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to the database is restricted by row-level security rules so users can only access data they are entitled to see, and passwords are stored only as secure hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the App to minimize the data it holds in the first place.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced in the App.
